Turkey: South-East Anatolia

South East of Anatolia is the oldest "eldest" cultural region of Turkey. It "she" is surrounded by the Taurus mountains. Here run "proceed" both flows Euphrates and Tigris.

Agriculturally this region is used by wheat, barleys, wine and olives. Beside mountain courses the region is marked to the east of the Euphrates by a high plateau. To the other agricultural cultivation more than 20 traffic jam dams are established within the scope of the South-East Anatolia project along the Euphrates and Tigris.

Itself from high mountains, alps, valleys, seas "lakes", flows and brooks in countless tones composing region is full of architectural and folkloric plants of the Turkish culture. The extensive and barely populated East-Anatolia is a rough land "country" with extreme differences in temperature. Wretched beauty, green meadows and immense mountain massive with everlasting snow, nomad's tents, lonesome villages, mucky huts and desolate cloister stamp the landscape.
